Most weekends, I have so many plans to accomplish so many things that I would like to do around the house or just things I would enjoy doing. I always never seem to have the time to do it in the end. I am either tired or just have no motivation. I am naturally creative and enjoy home projects. Using the tools of Access Consciousness really gives one more space to create. More space to feel calm and just seemingly have more time to do the things I enjoy.
So this weekend it was Raining and Storming in Cape Town, South Africa!
Painting
I decided to finally tackle my en-suite bathroom. When we moved in a year ago, we painted it Delicate White (off white/beige type colour). I love Duck Egg, the main bedroom’s bedding and accessories are all Duck Egg or tones of it. So I bought a colour called Petite White, lol it is nothing like white! I wanted to paint the en-suite and then also the French Doors that run off our main room onto our Stoep (which it is known as in South Africa but most people would call it a Patio!) The French Doors were a orange type Varnish, which I really don’t like! Here are some pictures to give you an idea of what I was up to …
On Sunday I finished the second coat in the en-suite and also did the second coat on the French Doors.
Yummy Tomato Soup
With the stormy weather, I decided to make this delicious Tomato Soup for the second time. I came across this recipe on Pinterest by The Basementbakehouse – it is so easy to make and tastes delicious! I finish mine off in my instant pot for 10 minutes instead of on the stove top and then I blitz it with a stick blender. Simple and delicious.
Making Healthy Chocolates
I also had time to make a healthier alternative to eating shop bought chocolate. We are trying to follow the Keto / Low Carb way of eating so it is nice to have that little something nice when you feel like it!
I have a recipe Book from Superfoods which I have had for a few years. I saw a simple recipe for chocolate. You can add your own flavours or nuts if you like. I decided to add macadamia nuts to mine. The recipe was so fast and easy to make. I have some chocolate moulds but not enough for the mixture, so I used the ice block trays too! The recipe is below in the picture if you would like to give it a try.
Ingredients
Cacao Paste – ECUADORIAN DARK CHOCOLATE
Raw cacao has a rich history amongst ancient Central American cultures. Associated with nobility and abundance, cacao was known as ‘the food of the gods’ or ‘black gold’ and traded as currency. All chocolate comes from cacao beans, which is the nut of the cacao fruit. Cacao paste is the nibs conched at a low temperature to make a paste, which is easy to melt and use in chocolate recipes.
Cacao Butter – COLD-PRESSED CHOCOLATE BUTTER
Raw cacao has a rich history amongst ancient Central American cultures. All chocolate comes from cacao beans, which is the nut of the cacao fruit. Raw cacao butter is the good fat content which has been cold-pressed from the cacao bean.
Coconut Oil – Research has found that medium chain fatty acids (MCFAs), which are created when digesting MCTs in coconut oil, enhance the absorption of minerals such as calcium and magnesium, B-group vitamins as well as fat soluble vitamins A, D, and K.
Honey – Raw honey has antibacterial and antiviral properties that can help boost your immune system and fight sickness.
The End Result …
Yummy delicious healthly chocolate! Jason and Troy loved these, more so Troy and he is very fussy! So I am very happy.
Now for a nice warm fire, glass of wine and some green thai curry with coconut cream – no rice just lots of cauliflower and broccoli!
I really had a productive but relaxing weekend.
Looking forward to this week. What else is possible? How does it get better than this?
How can I create my body and life today?
Keep on Discovering xx
