I met Mira while working on Paul Kearney’s team. There was an immediate connection right from the start which has now built into a special friendship. One day we will meet in person. Here is Mira’s story …
I grew up with parents who introduced me to shiatsu, reiki and meditation from a very young age. In fact, I can’t even remember a time where I wasn’t aware those things exist in the world.
I was sort of interested in it until I realised how different that made me in school. So when I turned 12, I desperately tried to fit in and tried cutting off all of my pieces that weren’t normal. Unfortunately for me, I still wasn’t fitting in, I just disconnected more from my fellow students.
When I was 16, things changed. I suddenly got my very first migraine which lasted for a full 5 weeks nonstop. I did the whole doctors thing, only to be told that there was no reason and the only solution was painkillers, and even those stopped working after 5 weeks. Several people suggested acupuncture and after I had my first session, the migraine was gone. I still had permanent headaches, but it wasn’t close to the same pain level as before.
That experience made me wish to be able to offer different possibilities to others who are out of normal options, but not satisfied with them. It also taught me how much my body communicates with me and makes me aware of when I’m dismissing my boundaries and not taking care of myself.
One year after that I chose to leave my school and started learning shiatsu and acupuncture instead. From there on, I discovered and learned lots of different techniques of massage, reiki, meditation, breath work and energetic work.
When I was 21, I started training others in intuitive massage and shortly after that I started working with people in private sessions.
Ever since I was 16, it had been my dream to be able to live from helping other people and making their lives easier.
And in the first few years, I was often exhausted after sessions and stressed out with money. Everything in my life was essentially a huge fight for me, and I was asking for something different again.
When I was 24, I discovered Access Consciousness. At first I was suspicious if it actually works, since changing stuff just seemed too easy and too good to be true. I was used to working hard for change and transformation. But somehow Access Consciousness and its tools intrigued me.
So half a year later I chose to learn how to do Access Bars. In that one day training I received an Access Bars session twice and I walked out of that training feeling like a different person. My body felt so much lighter, and my being had let go of a lot of heaviness too. From that moment on, I realised that things can actually be easy, if I allow them to be easy.
Just 3 months after that I started offering my own Access Bars classes. I attended more classes with Access and started using more of the tools in my everyday life.
When I was 26, I was attending my second Access Foundation class and it changed my whole world. For the first time in my life, I actually got that I’m not wrong for never fitting in anywhere. This has given me such a relief and freedom and was the first step of starting to be grateful for myself.
With 27 I became an Access Consciousness Certified Facilitator, which allows me to offer Foundation classes myself. I’m also a facilitator for the two Access specialties Talk To The Entities and Relationships Done Different.
Today, at 29, I can say discovering Access Consciousness has completely changed my life. I have ease working with people, even when we’re touching on difficult or challenging topics. I actually like myself and enjoy my own company. I also have a couple of great friends in my life, where I can show up as me and don’t have to hide anything.
I have ease with my body (even when I’m dealing with sickness). I have more ease with money than I ever had before (and how does it get even better than that?). And I enjoy creating classes with my business both in person and online.
