I am a visual learner! But in general I love visual reminders and I love pretty home decor!
So I decided that I have to have a everyday reminder of All of Life comes to me with Ease, Joy and Glory®! This is the Access Consciousness® Mantra for those of you that are new to Access Consciousness or have not Discovered Access Consciousness yet.
Everyday I start my day repeating this, whether you use the Tools of Access Consciousness or not, reading these words or repeating these words just make a person feel positive and happy! If Jason is having a difficult day, I always remind him to say this in his head too! So if you are having an interesting day, give it a try and see what Ease, Joy and Glory comes your way!
Craft Shop Purchase …
I went to the local craft shop her in Cape Town called Creative Talents and bought a canvas board, some chalk paint in my favourite colour, all the letters, a dandelion stencil, some pearl white paint for the dandelions, paint brush and then I had some white spray paint at home already for the letters.
I painted the canvas with the chalk paint – this drys very quickly. I did two coats.
I sprayed the letters white – I had to wait for them to dry overnight.
The next day I arranged the words so that they were spaced out nicely and then I stuck them down with some Pritt glue. I must say I was not entirely happy with how the letters flowed into one another, but I am trying to let go of being a perfectionist! lol
I then placed the Dandelion stencil in a position that I was happy with and painted it with the Shinny Pearl White craft paint. To add a bit of depth I went over some parts with thicker blobs of paint almost making them point up like soft egg whites when they peak.
This was my first attempt and I hung this piece in my office. I am going to make some more but not the same, as I would like a wall art for my lounge and one for my bedroom. I have a different idea for these two rooms and will post them once I have made them.
I really do believe in placing beautiful home decor around my home and outside on my “stoep”! It brings us such joy to be surrounded by these items that contribute to our life every day!
